Hello I am Joe Lively, I am 78 years old and this past August I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Carcinoma. I live in Louisiana with my wife of 62 years and she is disabled and prior to being diagnosed with Cancer I took care of her and now we are taking care of each other as best we can. I have 2 Children, a Boy and a Girl and they try to help out as much as life will allow them. I also have 7 grand -children and 10 great grand- children. Family means everything to me and they know I love them very much. My Daughter and Grand- daughter have been taking care of me and taking me back and fourth to my treatment appointments, which are 6 hours away and I am thankful that their jobs have allowed them to be able to take off to assist me with these appointments. Any money donated will help pay my medical bills, Hotel stays and food to eat while at my appointments, When we go we have to stay for 4 days each time and usually the Hotel stay is around $800.00 and that don’t include food three times a day for the both of us.
