My husband just finished round #9 of chemo and now has 15 more rounds of IV Chemo to go. He was told his liver cancer is still very active and will require more hard chemo. Once he finishes the IV chemo he will be on oral chemo for the rest of his life. He was told he has 2 years to live but we are praying for longer. Recently, this week he was in the hospital and now has a clot in his lung, a portal vein clot, and 2 clots in his leg. He has tried so hard to continue to work to help keep insurance for him and his wife. However, he is very tired and sick the more chemo he receives, and this is causing them to have to pay for his insurance.
We had to sell everything they owned and let the house go back to the bank to get started on chemo. As his wife I am having to miss work twice a week to take him back and forth to Houston for treatments. We are seeking donations to help cover the travel expenses, deductibles, to cover his medical costs not covered by insurance, and the new meds for his clots which is a cost which is a cost of $900.00 a month and he will be on it for life to help keep more clots from forming and try to break the ones he currently has down.
We would appreciate any donations as a blessing to help get their costs down for medical expenses and the loss of wages for them.
