Creating “Affordable and Accessible” opportunities in creating “safe spaces” for students to compete in after-school sport/athletic and support programming.
75% of all current families/students receive financial assistance in order to receive an education. Most times extracurriculars are not included in the equation. Your support to “Support A Warrior” impacts the following:
Returning PE (Physical-Education) to the weekly school calendar. Improving daily Health and Nutrition habits, providing access to after-school competitive sport/athletic programming. Allowing students to compete in leagues, teams (throughout the fall, winter, spring and additionally providing summer programming). We look to expand additional support programming in life skills such as media/photo/journalism, sports medicine and statistics., to support sport/athletic programs.
We have additionally created a coach and student mentorship program for current high school students to come back and be scholarship to coach, referee, receive service hours etc.,
All programming promotes “community” to positively “CREATE, – SUPPORT and FUND” without barriers, programs that contribute to the Mind, Body and Soul within a (peer-to-peer) culture, leading to more progressive and productive members of our community.
Facts:
93% of students who compete in school sports programs, receive consistent passing grades of classes on an annual basis.
96% of students who compete in school sports programs graduate high school and attend college.
98% of students participating in school sports programs see improvement to overall time-management, leading to improved behavior at school and within the community.
