Hello and Thank You all for viewing my fundraiser!

My name is Scott, a 51yr old husband and father. I have a beautiful, caring wife of 22yrs, a loving, intelligent daughter, 2 step daughters, 1 step-son and 7 fun, “keep ya on your toes” grandchildren. I’m a very lucky guy!

I was diagnosed with last-stage liver cirrhosis on October 25th 2022 and now have severe ascites as well. My only hope now is for getting on the transplant list, obtaining a healthy liver, having a successful surgery and a strong and healthy recovery. I am currently pursuing this with both University Hospital and The Cleveland Clinic. I am 90% complete with the evaluation process at both and should be on the transplant list very soon.

All donations will be used to pay medical bills and any expenses relating to shelter, food, utilities and vehicles. I am currently on medical leave and will be down to 50% pay with no benefits unless self-paid.

The stress of worrying about my health and how I will financially support my family through this process becomes quite overwhelming, especially if I could no longer work or did not make it through the transplant. My self-appearance is less than normal. I was 6’2” and 225lbs last July and am currently 6’0” and 145lbs. Due to the severe ascites and having 10 liters of fluid drained from my abdomen every 10 days, which removes the protein and many other important nutrients. This process has turned me into skin and bones with no muscle mass and a large belly due to the fluid. I am at the point where I am so weak, no energy, light headedness that walking, squatting, bending, lifting, standing, etc. is only possible on a really good day. Those are about 3 out of 7 days I get a good energy boost at this point.

Any and all donations, prayers, and compassionate comments are gratefully appreciated!

I will continue my post and add a recent picture shortly.
