Hello, my name is Joelle Sebring,

I was diagnosed with leukemia (blood Cancer) when I was 30. I have been fighting for my life ever since. I am currently a patient of Roswell Park Cancer Insitute.  I am now 56 and on my own trying to make end meet. Unfortunately, at this time in my life I need assistance beyond my normal means. The monies I am seeking are for home repairs, updating for handicapped accessibility and appliances for everyday living.  My former roommate and caregiver of twelve years caused a lot of damage to my home.  He took what little money I had, while I was hospitalized for nine months this past year.  He left me in the arears in everything such as utilities, lot rent along with repairs. He did this with knowing the consequences of his actions. I am trying to keep positive, hopeful and optimistic despite my current situation. Every little bit will help. I have volunteers that will help to keep my cost to a minimum. Due to my situation and limited funds, I seek help from caring and generous people like you. I have never had a fundraiser before while I have fought Leukemia for over 20 years. I do appreciate your time to read my story today.

If you are unable to donate but have items I may need such as a wheelchair ramp, kitchen appliances, handicap tub or simply pass this along is helpful. I will be updating my progress both about my medical diagnosis and financial assistance.  Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping me to stay in my home.
