Michael was just 27 years old in the prime of his life when life threw this unimaginable curveball at him–a diagnosis of MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS, I remember the day if it was yesterday, the devastation that rippled through our family, the tears we shed together, and the uncertainly that loomed over us like a dark cloud.
Michael has faced this trial with incredible strength, courage and determination.
Over the next two decades Mike has shown us time and time again what true resilience means. Mike has explored every possible avenue in the United States, tirelessly seeking out treatments and medicines, determined to regain some semblance of a normal life. And now he finds himself in secondary progressive stage, struggleing just to move a few steps with the help of a cane breaks our hearts.
We witness the daily battles Mike faces . From something as simple as carrying the groceries into the house to the more profound challenges that come with this relentless disease. His unwavering determination to move forward, to resist the wheelchair, is a testament to his spirit and it fills us with both pride and awe.
Recently. Mike shared a glimmer of hope with us, a link to the CELL INSTITUTE in Panama City,Panama. This institute offers a treatment involving umbilical cord stem cells known as MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS- something not available in the United States.
it’s the last beacon of hope. A chance to improve his quality of life,
Our greatest wish for our son is happiness and well-being. We will do everything in our power to support our son through this journey.
Michael has been accepted at cell institute in Panama , this will be the first step of many treatments.
Mike will need 4 days of MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS and 2 days of therapy on this first trip.
Thank You for your interest in My son’s story. and any help you may give him.
Most Sincerely
Mike and Dorothy Hope
