We are reaching out during one of the hardest moments our family has ever faced.
Our mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon/rectal cancer. The doctors have told us her prognosis is measured in months. Nothing prepares you for words like that, and nothing prepares you for watching someone you love face something so heavy with strength and grace.
She is a mother to two daughters, one of whom has Down syndrome and depends on her deeply. She is also a grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren who adore her and still need her love, guidance, and presence. Tragically, the father of her grandchildren recently passed away as well, leaving our family emotionally shattered and financially strained.
Right now, we are doing everything we can just to keep going covering medical expenses, daily living costs, and ensuring that her remaining time is as comfortable, peaceful, and dignified as possible. The weight of grief, caregiving, and financial stress has become overwhelming.
We are asking for help because we cannot do this alone.
