Hi, my name is Valerie Robinson. I am in need some help with many things. I was diagnosed with Gastrinoma Cancer approximately five years ago. Recently, my father passed away with Cerebral Alzheimer’s Dementia. He and I were very, very close. He was 97 years old, with no life insurance.
My father was also my roommate. I was his caretaker, PCA and I took care of his financial business as well. I’ve never been so stressed, so scared or worried as much as I have been these past months.
As you can imagine, there are many bills that are behind simply because my income has decreased by 2/3. Rent, insurance, funeral costs, electricity, etc.., Everything is behind. In addition to these bills, I am liable for some of my father’s bills as well because my name was on them. Including his bank account. There are so many things that need my attention. I am exhausted from crying and worrying for fear of not being able to get back control of my life.
I need your help as I navigate through this horrifying time. I am truly scared of losing everything. I have applied to every agency I could find. So, this is my last, ditch effort.
It is strange how quickly life can change for the good or the bad. You blink and there you go. There is your change.
