Many times my wife has reached out asking you to help someone else, this time, it’s taken her way too long to ask for help. In a couple of days, she will be in New York preparing for  neurosurgery. This surgery has the potential to remove her vertigo, bring back some of her eyesight, and manage much of the neck, face, eye, throat, and migraine pain. She met with the surgeon on May 15 and they have fast tracked her surgery.

For the first time in decades, we have hope and it’s dependent on our community gathering to support us. She needs your help. We need your help.

We will need to be on the border of New York and Connecticut for 10-15 days. This is going to get expensive and quickly. The surgery is covered by insurance (We already met our out of pocket maximum for 2025) but the hotel, food, travel for two, medical supplies, and care for S while he is home is adding up quickly. The recovery will be months and then they will operate on the other side.

We now know many of the conditions could be due to one—Bilateral Jugular Compression Syndrome. This is a condition where bony structures, tendons, ligaments, and even other veins are working together to compress and occlude jugular veins on both sides. The jugular veins drain the dirty blood from the brain so it can be filtered and oxygenated. Christina’s are 100% and ~90% occluded.

I am attaching a link to a great article explains one of the conditions leading to the Compressions—Eagle Syndrome. It’s fascinating—much of it is scary.

If you can donate finances, the link here will cost only the expense of swiping the credit card—no other fees and you will receive a donation statement for your taxes. If you can’t give money, we have other needs…

—rides to doctor appointments, ball games, and possibly school

—meals, snacks, grocery shopping

—companionship

—prayers

all of these gifts, help us find hope.

One of the conditions causing the compression is Eagle Syndrome  some studies about it is here. Christina has discovered many of her symptoms can be explained by this compression. Thanks for giving us hope.
