I am an Air Force Veteran with a limited income, who had a leg removed eight years ago; I do have a prosthetic leg, thanks to the V.A. I AM MARRIED…we do have one vehicle, but my wife does not allow me to drive it…she considers it her personal vehicle. Since my amputation, I am on a limited income, and am now on SSI. I would like to be able to get out on my own again, as I am forced to spend 90% of my time at home. I do not like to have to depend on others for my transportation, as that would give me no privacy. I should be able to get a dependable vehicle for $6,000…probably considerably less, but I am wanting to be careful.
