Hello my name is Jameelah Williams but I go by “Nicole” which is my middle name. I am a 42 year old woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2024. I am married and my spouse receives a fixed income of SSI since they are disabled. We have had to pay some medical expenses and medicine that have been needed thus far. This has put us into a financial strain. There are times when we have had to use a food bank for groceries and also get assistance with rental and utility bills. I just found out yesterday my dog needs emergency surgery and she is my support dog who has got me through and still is getting me through my health journey. I have applied for SSI and it has been a long process and do not know when I may receive any news from them. I am unable to work due to the cancer treatment procedures and medication since it leaves me weak, and I have severe brain fog and forgetfulness. I am usually not a person who likes to ask for help but I am in a situation that ha required it.I have learned in this cancer journey that we all need help sometime. I hate to bother anyone because I know we all have our issues going on but, if anyone can help, with any amount I would appreciate it.
