My name is Amber. I am a single mother of 2 kids. We are currently being evicted from our home because our landlord is having tax problems. We don’t live in the best conditions, and even though we know the move is necessary, we are stressed with leaving our home of 3 years. My grandpa and I started subleasing this home through my mother after her and my dad left. We had just moved back from Arkansas during the pandemic and no where to go. We have been happily living here through all the damage the house has been through. We went through foundation repairment, a family of rats living under our kitchen sink, and nights where we had to barricade the front door locked, because the hinges were coming off. My grandpa is pushing 80 and retired. He has taken care of me my whole life, and now with this move I want him to be worry free. I work a single job and take care of both my kids with the help of my grandpa. We have found a home and hoping our application is accepted. Either way we have to be out of this house by October 4th. Right now our goal is just move our life out of this home and start new. The down payment for this new home would be 1660 plus a holding fee. To be honest we barley have enough to even make first months rent. I am only asking for the down payment and moving expenses. Whatever you can do to help is greatly appreciated. I have never done anything like this and I am very desperate so my grandpa doesn’t have to stress over this move. It has been a rough year for both of us. We would normally lean on my mom (and his baby girl) for this kind of support but she sadly passed away in February and I can tell that alone has been taken a hold on him mentally and physically.
