Lung Cancer

My name is Beverly. I have lung cancer and need surgery. I have had two chemo treatments which I did not have to pay for because I already met out of pocket cost with insurance. After open enrollment for insurance, it is time to start over with my deductible and out of pocket cost. One day prior to my third treatment, I got a phone call telling me I need $2500 dollars to get my treatment and without the money no treatment and nothing they can do for me. I had no idea it would cost me this much, but did expect to have this brought to my attention in a more timely manner. My cancer doctor tells me he thinks I am doing good enough to go ahead with the surgery, but I have to get approval from my pulmonologist and cardiologist ( I also have COPD, congestive heart failure and afib). This requires more testing which is also pricey. Need funds for insurance deductible and out of pocket cost to have tests needed for surgery approval. Will also need funds to pay my bills while I am out of work on disability. I will probably be out of work for at least six weeks. I struggle hard to go to work every night. And everyday gets harder. Meanwhile, my chemo treatments have been canceled. I am waiting to get appointments needed to be scheduled. With chemo being canceled I stress out worrying about if the cancer may be spreading. I would be so grateful for any help I can get.
