Leftover Link-up is a student-powered project whose mission is to fight food waste and support Wichita’s homeless community.
Every day, restaurants toss out tons of perfectly good food. Meanwhile, too many people in our neighborhoods go hungry. We’re here to change that.
Our team partners with local restaurants to collect extra meals and snacks that would otherwise be thrown away. Instead of ending up in the trash, this food gets delivered straight to shelters and people in need. It’s a win-win—less food waste in our city and more meals for those who need them most.
But Leftover Link-up isn’t just about food deliveries—it’s about sparking change. We want to raise awareness about food insecurity, waste, and the role we all play in building a more caring city. Through our food drives, school involvement, and community partnerships, we’ll show that everyone has the power to make a difference—whether it’s donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word.
Our goals are clear and simple: cut down food waste by rescuing meals that deserve to be eaten, support the homeless with consistent access to food and care, build community by connecting students, restaurants, and shelters, and spread awareness so more people join the cause.Leftover Link-up proves that small actions add up.
