My name is LaTonya Hill, I am a single parent mother of 4 who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in April 2023. Things have changed drastically since I found out what I have been diagnosed with. I now have a limited income to pay my home rent and utilities as well as credit card bills, food, car payments, and car insurance due to me having to quit my job in June of 2023 so that I could closely take care of my health and myself. I also have a daughter who is a junior in college. I am paying out-of-pocket fees for her to be able to continue her education in Nursing, but I am struggling juggling bills, and my illness all in one it has become overwhelming. I need financial assistance so that I can comfortably be able to prepare myself for my surgery before and after. The surgery to have my breast removed will take place September 6, 2023, and I will be having a bilateral mastectomy and a reconstruction surgery which will leave me in the hospital for 5 days and I will also be on bed rest for 3-6 months and I will need financial assistance to keep my household together and homecare assistance. Due to my illness, I have been suffering with depression and unhappiness I’ve been having negative thoughts constantly about having this surgery I’m afraid of how my life will change while healing from the surgery because I’ve never had a surgery or anything this intense!
