Hello.

My name is Kenyetta Jackson. I am a patient at Davita Dialysis Center located at 540 East Oglethorpe in Savannah, Georgia. It is also known as Savannah Riverside. My nephrologist is Dr. Garrett White of South Coast Medical, located at 1326 Eisenhower Dr, Savannah, GA 31406 · I have been living with chronic kidney disease almost twenty years. When it was first discovered, I was at a stage four, and I was able to go to a level three with medication and a healthy diet. This would continue for some time. Then, Dr. White advised me that my kidneys seemed to be failing. He said that this moment was inevitable, and he knew it would eventually come to this. He had been preparing me. Dr. Garrett White would be my second nephrologist. Dr. Nancy Thompson was the first and was very instrumental in keeping in good health. She would advise me to eat healthy, exercise, and limit my consumption of alcohol. The interesting thing is that I am not one who drinks alcohol, and I am a healthy eater. My chronic kidney disease is the result of the medication that I was taking for hypertension. Dr. Thompson was very knowledgeable and one the best nephrologists in the area.

Now, I am in need of a kidney transplant. Currently, I am undergoing dialysis, three times a week. The treatment is helping my kidneys to function. There are various types of dialysis, but the best option is a new kidney. The treatment is expensive. There are a number of surgeries involved. I had the second surgery on April 22, 2024, in which a graft was placed in my left arm. The first surgery was last month, where a catheter was placed in my chest. The catheter is not intended to be long-term and can easily infected. The graft and or fistula is better as I await a new kidney. I am asking for your help as I attempt to continue this journey called life. I am a caregiver for my elderly parent, who is a breast cancer survivor. It is imperative that I take care of my health. Your concern and generosity would be greatly appreciated!
