A young life; gone too soon

On April 17th, our dear Kayla Cooper was taken from us/passed away.  Heaven has definitely gained another Angel.  She was a mother to 3 beautiful children; aged 3 to 2 (twins).  Her light and smile will truly be missed.

Like many, we are devastated and didn’t have time to prepare.  These times have not been friendly to my family and friends in terms of finances. We would love nothing more than to give Kayla a sensible funeral service and some monetary assistance to help her family with her toddlers that she left behind. Every donation will get us closer to our goal with laying Kayla to rest peacefully and helping her family with unforeseen expenses with the children.

News report:

A suspect in a killing of 22-year-old woman in Wiggins turned himself in to police on Easter Sunday.

Zavago Oryan Wilson was wanted on a murder charge and surrendered on Sunday morning, said Wiggins police Chief Deputy Jeff Thomas.

The body of Kayla Cooper was found at 1:11 a.m. on Sunday in a bedroom at a residence on Harrison Street. Stone County Coroner Wayne Flurry identified the victim on Monday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, said Thomas. Flurry said Cooper most likely died from a single gunshot wound and an autopsy is being performed.
