Jackson Murtha, givetaxfree.org, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy – Heals Brains, Restores Lives!
The goal of this Fund Raiser for Jackson Murtha is to raise enough money for Jackson to receive Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)! Michael Bearclair, a Wrestler, who was in a wheelchair with Stage 2 Dementia and did not want to live anymore, desperately wants to help Heal Jackson with his proven Brain Curing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Michael was TOTALLY cured by using a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, which Heals Brains and Restores Lives! It is his mission to help people now, especially our Veterans with PTSD and Brain Injuries.
I personally learned of Jackson’s accident through my lovely Friend, Holli Weiskittel’s Facebook post, asking for Prayers. It was so touching, and I began following Jackson’s Caring Bridge stories regularly. After all of this time of routing for Jackson, I spoke to his Mom, Tracey C. Murtha, about medicines he was taking that I am familiar with, and I have grown to care very deeply for them and their Journey…
During our conversation about medicines Jackson was taking, that I have experienced for migraines, Tracey mentioned the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, that I had read about in a previous post. She explained that Jackson wouldn’t survive the long trip to the location, the time spent in the chamber, and then the long ride home. The gentleman, determined to help Jackon, found a portable Oxygen Chamber that could be brought to Jackson. He Believes in this so strongly, but it is an expensive undertaking ~ Jackson will need 40 Sessions. I asked Tracey if she would allow me to set up a Fund Raiser for the Oxygen Chamber to be brought to Jackson, and she humbly agreed. I asked her to summarize Jackson’s story for me, as I did not want to leave anything out. Through reading all of his posts last night, I do want to say something at the bottom about a few posts that really struck me! I know another magnificent Mother like this, that I just stand in awe of where they get their Strength, the answer is always, “GOD….”
Givetaxfree.org is a non-profit, 501c, NOT related to Go Fund Me. This organization is registered with the IRS and permitted to issue tax deductions for donations they receive. Once you make a donation, you will receive a letter via email listing the amount of your donation. You are then allowed to give that letter to the IRS for a tax deduction. This is the ONLY non-profit Crowd Funding in the USA.
I do know that when Jackson was originally injured so terribly last December, there was a Go Fund Me set up to help with his hospital expenses. This is totally separate from that, and all funds will only go directly toward getting Jackson this Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, that could be life changing for him. I know money is tight for so many right now, but if you feel you could make any kind of contribution at all, no matter how large or small, it all adds up, and would be so immensely appreciated to give Jackson this chance for Brain Healing.
Here is the summary of Jackson’s story from his Beautiful Mom, Tracey C. Murtha.
The accident was early the morning of December 6, 2022, with a tragic accidental, gunshot wound to the head. Jackson lost his right eye in the accident & was left blind in his left eye (we would not find out until months later). He was in a coma with a ventilator breathing for him with no brain activity. My mom & I went in to see him in the early morning hours of December 6 to say our Goodbyes and Pray with him (& to give him messages for his Dad when he got to Heaven), as the Doctors told us the injury was not survivable, and there was no brain activity. Just before we were about to leave, and they were going to take him off the ventilator, he started moving his left arm, first with a squeeze and then with lifting it off the bed several times. He proceeded within hours to move all four limbs purposefully for the next two days. Three days after injury, Jackson experienced brain swelling that did not respond to the conservative treatment. He needed a craniotomy to relieve the pressure, but the Surgeons felt it was too risky for where his injury was located, so he was put into a medically induced coma for the next two-plus weeks. It was touch and go for those three weeks. They eventually just stopped monitoring Jackson’s brain pressures and removed treatment for brain swelling, thinking his heart would stop, and he would pass ~ but God had other plans, and Jackson continued to improve, receiving a trachea and feeding tube. He continued to have ups and downs but started breathing on his own, completely without need for ventilator. The power of collective prayer from hundreds, if not thousands, around the globe were heard and granted! It’s been a long Journey… a marathon for sure, and we still have a long way to go. Friends and Strangers, that have become Friends, from around the globe rallied around us ~ holding Jackson up in Prayer and encouraging me and literally being the Hands and Feet of Jesus in the Flesh. We have had insurance denial after insurance denial in Jackson receiving the proper care to have a meaningful recovery, but God has provided just what Jackson needs, in His timing. It has been a long road again with many ups and downs, but undeniable “Miracles” unfolding with each day. We are now heading to Texas for 6-8 months of intense therapies…PT, OT, ST, Psych, educational, as well as effective tested alternative therapies that will help build new neural pathways that the therapists can then utilize for Jackson to gain more function and as much independence as possible! We are Praying so hard and with so much Hope and Faith that Jackson will regain vision in his left eye. He will need a prosthetic eye for his right eye, unless God chooses to miraculously Reform it and Heal it as well. We know for certain that God is Good, His love and compassion and care never leaves us, and that He has carried us this far, and He will continue to carry us until we can walk on our own, following His Lead. Thank you for your Help and Prayers. You are God’s Mighty Warriors and Instruments in His Plans and Purposes for Jackson’s life. We will always be eternally grateful for each of you and Pray God heaps Blessing upon Blessing on your life and the lives of your Families.
