I’m a Vietnam Vet, getting up in age,  I’m 73, and in need of a mobility scooter but cannot afford to get one.  I’ve tried thru The Veterans Hospital letting them know what I need it for.   They have taken X-rays of my lower back and found damage to my lower spine.  Surgery would help me, but I also have a bad Heart, having 3 Heart attacks already, they placed me on blood thinners and other meds.  The problem is I lose all feeling in my legs and fall a lot of times walking.  I told them that and all they gave me after were a walker, and two canes,   I have to find stores with mobile shopping carts to shop for food.  I can drive but have to take a break because my legs go numb and I need to get circulation back in them before I can move. SS said I can get one from them but only if I get a doctor’s order. They told me that it’s too had to work with the VA, so I can’t get one.  All I asked for thru them is a Three wheel folding scooter so I don’t have to depend on others to do the shopping for me.   If anyone has one I can get them to donate it for me I would be glad to take a good used one.  I then can go to see my grandchildren and the rest of my family with it.  I go for surgery to fix my vein going to my brain in a few days.  They told me it’s closing so I need to get that done also.   Please help if you can, it’s been a few years since I had a chance to go out of the house.  Any small amount would be of help.    Thank You.
