On Tuesday night (6/10/25), my niece Destanie Ziegler and her four children — Neveah, Giani, Aydan, and Liam — lost *everything* in a devastating house fire.
A simple accident — a poster falling onto a candle — quickly turned into a nightmare as it ignited a wall tapestry and engulfed their home in flames. Neveah had just celebrated her birthday the day before and lost all her gifts, and her PS5. 
By God’s grace, Destanie heroically got all four kids out safely, but she sustained smoke inhalation and injuries while kicking a door open to get to her kids. For those who know Destanie, you know she’s faced more than her share of life’s storms. But with faith, a praying grandmother, and a loving family, she always rises — and we know she will rise again. Right now, they are starting from scratch.
We’re asking for both prayer & financial support to help them secure new housing — covering a security deposit and first month’s rent, and then furnishing once they’re resettled. 100% of donations will go directly to their needs. This online platform (givetaxfree.org) supposedly does not take any portion of the donations (which is not the case with the well known “GoFundMe” platform).
