Hi, my name is Nadine. I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in December 2021. I remember it just like it was yesterday. It was four days prior to Christmas. I did everything to keep myself together, not to put this problem on my family, but to hold my head up high, and to remain silent in my suffering. I somehow was able to get through and talk to my family and make them aware of my diagnosis. They’ve been great they’ve been supportive. They’ve been everything that I could possibly need but there has been one thing missing as far as the financial struggles I tend to run into, I’ve always been healthy, not knowing that something this big such as cancer, would strike me one day now I use my health insurance from my job to assist me with going to the doctor getting my prescriptions. I do have a large deduction now that insurance has gone up the premiums are high. I’m in the process of losing my job that I’ve been upholding now for five years due to, the company I work for will be relocating the jobs outside of the US. So my last day working will be January 31, 2023. I will have to look for a new job somewhere that I can retire from since I am 54 years old. I’d like to continue working at least until I’m 65 however long this disease will allow me, but in the meantime, I would appreciate it if I could get some financial assistance to help me with keeping the mortgage up on my home and helping me with my car payment. I would be really grateful and it would really mean a lot to me. Whatever amount you can assist me with I would be really grateful. I thank you for reading my story. Bless you!
