Hello, my name is Chantelle. In 2021, I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. At the time, I was 38 years old, and this news was devastating for myself and my family. I am a mother to four children. My husband had to stop working to take care of me and the children for almost 2 years so I could recover from the chemo treatments. Consequently, our financial situation reached an all-time low. We recently relocated to Texas, where my husband was able to secure a decent job. I am now in remission and grateful that my health is improving every year. Since moving to Texas, I have had to find new doctors to complete my last years of follow-up treatments, including scans, MRIs, blood work etc. I was denied Medicaid and only receive Medicare. I had my first visits in November 2024 and incurred some unexpected charges My husband and I have worked very hard to improve our financial situation and have paid off much of the debt we accrued when I was ill. We are seeking assistance at this time because we cannot afford the monthly payments they are asking from us. I tried to negotiate a $100.00 monthly payment, but I need to come up with 25 percent of the bill, which is around $625.00, and we do not have that amount at this time. I have exhausted all options and even asked family members for help. I would greatly appreciate any assistance at this time and would be very grateful for anything given.
Thank you,
Chantelle
