My husband is battling stage IV lung cancer and kidney cancer, and our lives have changed in ways we never imagined.
Right now, one of our biggest challenges is that we are living too far from his cancer care and from family and support system we desperately need. As his treatment continues, being closer to his doctors and having family nearby would make an enormous difference-not only for him, but for me as his caregiver.(Im 80 years old)
I am doing everything I can do to take care of my husband and keep things together, but this has become increasingly difficult to manage on our own. We are hoping to move closer to his cancer care and the people who can be there to help us through this difficult time.
We are hoping to make this move by the end of November.
Our fundraising goal is $6,000.
The funds raised will help us with the expenses involved in moving, including moving costs, transportation, deposits, and the other unexpected expenses that come with relocating during a medical crisis.
This isn’t an easy thing for us to ask, We have always tried to handle things ourselves, but right now we need some help.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean so much to us.And if you aren’t able to donate, simply sharing our story would be an incredible help.
Our goal is to get closer to the cancer care my husband needs, closer to family, and into a situation where we don’t have to continue to face this journey alone.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading our story, for sharing it, and for helping us through this very difficult chapter of our lives.
