Hi! My name is Trish and I am a single mom to an amazing 16 year old girl. We will in a rural town in North Georgia.
We have lived in our home for right about 14 years. I have always had a decent job and was able to keep us just above drowning, financially. I worked in Law Enforcement for 26 years. After 17 of those years in a jail I had to leave. It was emotionally, mentally, and physically debilitating. It was ruining me and seriously affecting my home life. I left 2 years ago. Since, I have been employed, working from home, but its just not enough. Teens are expensive, food is even more expensive, and bills are just overwhelming. Everything has increased..except for my pay.
I am approximately 3 months behind on my mortgage. I don’t know what to do. I have no 401K (no law enforcement doesn’t have a “retirement”), nothing left in savings and have borrowed money from everywhere. I even had to borrow from my daughter’s savings account. I just need a hand up..not a hand out. I work hard and am currently searching for part time work that can work around my full time job. I just don’t want to lose the only home my daughter has ever known. I have worked so hard over the years to keep this place.
I know life is lifeing for everyone right now but if you can see it in your heart and have a little extra in your bank account, please consider helping us girls keep our home. I don’t know where to go if we don’t.
Thank you for your consideration and more importantly for your time and compassion.
Love, Trish
