Dear Loved Ones, Community Members, and Kind Supporters,

First off, thank you so much for your support and generosity.

On Thanksgiving Day 2024, an urgent trip to the Emergency Department marked the beginning of an unexpected journey for Dallas. Following two hospital admissions and numerous diagnostic procedures, Dallas received a diagnosis of Aplastic Anemia. This rare and serious condition affects the bone marrow and necessitates a bone marrow transplant for treatment. To receive this life-saving procedure, Dallas must stay at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, while his wife, Allison, and their children remain in Pasco, a 3.5-hour drive away.

Those who know Dallas are aware of his unwavering commitment to helping and uplifting others in the community. Now, Dallas and his family find themselves in need of your support and generosity during these 5 months he’s unable to work.

We kindly ask you to consider making a donation to assist Dallas and his family during this challenging time. The road ahead is daunting, and any support you can offer will greatly aid them in navigating this difficult journey.

I will provide updates on Dallas’s progress and our family’s journey, keeping you informed every step of the way.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and for standing with Dallas and his family during this time of need.

What happens if Aplastic Anemia goes untreated?

If Aplastic Anemia goes untreated, the shortage of blood cells becomes progressively worse, leading to severe complications. Without enough red blood cells, the body can’t get the oxygen it needs, causing extreme fatigue and potential heart problems. The lack of white blood cells increases the risk of life-threatening infections, while a deficiency in platelets can result in uncontrollable bleeding. Ultimately, untreated Aplastic Anemia can lead to organ damage, increased vulnerability to other serious conditions, and could be fatal. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to manage symptoms and prevent these severe outcomes.
