10/28/24 Update on Sarah. She has undergone both chemotherapy and radiation treatments, somehow managing to drive herself to and from. Please pray that she gets some local support there in Grants Pass to help with housecleaning, and getting the kids outdoors. Sarah has not had the energy, and she is feeling great anxiety for the dire situation at home. Sarah wants me to try to express just how immensely grateful she is for the support of everyone; she sees the names and doesn’t recognize so many, so she is deeply humbled by the support of strangers. THANK YOU! BLESS YOU!
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Souls,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to support our dear friend, Sarah Sheghewi. At just 35 years old, Sarah, a single mother of two beautiful children, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer. Originally from Logan, Utah, Sarah now resides in Southern Oregon where she works in clinical research and has been a beacon of strength and compassion as she’s cared for hundreds of patients with empathy and grace.
Sarah’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Despite the challenges of single parenthood, she earned her bachelor’s degree, graduating magna cum laude. Her children, Aiden and Eylah, are her pride and joy. Aiden, 13, is a brilliant young man who can solve a Rubik’s cube in under 45 seconds and adores his mom. Eylah, 4, is a spirited little girl who loves makeup and unicorns. Sarah and her children cherish their time outdoors, finding solace and joy in nature every weekend.
Now, this relentless disease has forced Sarah to take a leave from work to focus on fighting this cancer and healing. The financial burden of treatment, combined with the need to support her children, is overwhelming. We are calling on the angels among us to send prayers, blessings, and any financial support possible.
Your donations will provide critical relief for Sarah, covering childcare, basic needs like housing and food, and medical expenses while she undergoes chemotherapy and radiation. This support will allow Sarah to concentrate on healing and spending precious time with her children.
Sarah’s future is bright, despite the battle ahead. She envisions a future of growing her children to be the best humans they can be and continuing her career in wellness, with aspirations of homesteading, botanical and holistic therapeutics.
Sarah’s friends have put together this fundraiser out of love and determination to see her survive for her children. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings hope and light to Sarah and her children during this challenging time. Please help this incredible mama fight!
With gratitude, peace and blessings,
Sarah’s Friends and Family
