Richard Day has Neuro-Endocrine Pancreatic Cancer and has been suffering with this for a year now. His cancer has increased in size over the last few months and spread to his liver. His current cancer treatments are therefore not working and so we are trying to send him to an alternative cancer facility that is very promising and has good results but it is not covered by insurance. We are hopeful that this will be the answer to our prayers. Please consider giving to our cause so that Richard will be here for his 3 kids and his grandkids for many more years to come. He is a loving father, grandfather and a wonderful husband and loves nothing more than spending time with his family. He has suffered a lot over the past through months with pain in his back from his cancer. He is on several painkillers just to continue to work and try to sleep at night. He is very stoic though and hardly complains even though it keeps him up at night. He barely makes it through the day working to support his family, but he does it with the last bit of energy he has. We don’t know how long he can continue to work at this pace with the cancer beating him down so much.
The treatment center is called an Oasis of Healing and is located in Arizona. He would be treated as an outpatient Monday thru Friday. He would be there for approximately 7 weeks maybe more if needed. That does not include lodging which would be an extra expense, besides transportation to and from the facility. This facility does not just treat cancer. It treats the whole person. Body spirit and soul. The testimonials are very inspiring and heartfelt. It truly is a very special place, and we are so encouraged that they can really heal Richard body soul and spirit. We just are very concerned about raising the funds needed to make this happen for him. We are doing everything in our power to find the financial assistance needed for this treatment.
