Late afternoon on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023, a fire started upstairs of their rental house. Their four-legged kids; Blu, Bella, Junkyard, and Bootsie Rose were the first to alert. Mom (still recovering from a recent hip replacement) scurried the stairs to see what cause the commotion, opened her bedroom door, instantly engulfed by smoke. She managed to get outside, along with their beloved dogs. Neighbors called 9-1-1 while she and my stepfather watched in disbelief as heirlooms, cherished photos, and already scarse belongings were devoured in flames.

Mom is legally blind, and recovering from recent hip replacement. She is unable to work. Her husband is the sole earner, as a part time chef. He too has been fighting disabilities from aging. They have an older van, that does need mechanical work but it can get him to and from work, once they are stable and she can be left alone safely.

Please inquire directly of other needs not mentioned or other offers of support.

Thank you greatly for your help.

Sincerely,
