My name is Harry, and I am asking for help because a serious car accident changed my life, my health, my ability to work, and ultimately my ability to keep my home.
Earlier this year, I was involved in a serious car accident. My vehicle was hit, and the other driver did not have insurance. Since the accident, I have been dealing with significant physical limitations and disability. My mobility has been severely affected, and there have been periods when I have been unable to walk normally or function the way I did before the accident.
Before this happened, I was independent and able to support myself. After the accident, everything changed very quickly. My ability to work was severely affected, my income dropped, and I began using the resources I had saved simply to survive.
The accident created a chain reaction. I have had to deal with physical limitations, transportation problems, basic living expenses, housing costs, and the financial consequences of suddenly being unable to function the way I did before. Over time, the money I had available was exhausted.
I have been pursuing disability assistance and trying every available avenue to stabilize my situation. Unfortunately, those systems take time, while rent and everyday expenses continue immediately. I have now reached a point where I am facing an urgent housing crisis.
I live with my two dogs, Yali and Clavel, and they are my family. They have been with me throughout this entire experience. During the most difficult moments following the accident and the loss of my independence, they have been my constant companions.
One of my greatest fears is not only losing my home, but being placed in a situation where I could also lose Yali and Clavel because I no longer have a safe place for all of us to stay. Keeping my family together is incredibly important to me.
I have contacted assistance programs, looked for emergency resources, applied for support, pursued disability benefits, reduced expenses, and used everything I had available. I am not asking for help without first trying to solve this myself. I am asking because I have reached the point where the emergency is moving faster than the assistance systems around me.
I am raising $5,000 to help cover my urgent housing costs and essential expenses so that I can remain safely housed while I continue working through the disability and financial recovery process.
This assistance would give me time to stabilize my housing, continue pursuing disability support, recover physically, and work toward becoming financially independent again.
Most importantly, it would allow me to keep a safe home for myself, Yali, and Clavel instead of allowing one terrible accident to lead to homelessness and the separation of my family.
I understand that many people are struggling, and asking for help is not easy. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would make an immediate difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing my campaign with someone who may be able to help would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me, Yali, and Clavel have the chance to remain safe, together, and housed while I rebuild my life.
