Hello friends,
Kathleen’s not-yet-ex-husband, K.C., was found deceased recently. Kathleen has an entire estate to clean up, not to mention now being the sole parent to Luke (14 and with some special needs). Please help support our friend through this rough time by contributing to her living expenses now that she will no longer receive child support or tuition assistance from KC. He has left her with 6 figures of debt, so there is nothing left over.
He was in the middle of various court battles over his defunct business as well as dragging out the divorce with Kathleen. It is unclear whether he had any life insurance, as this was one of the sticking points of finalizing the divorce settlement. Dealing with his estate will mean hours of sifting through papers and probate court for Kathleen. She may need to take unpaid leave to simply deal with the mountain of work.
Additionally, she is taking KC’s two dogs, Charlie and Roxy, to live with her so Luke does not have to suffer another loss. This added stress on top of her already reduced mobility means that she needs a fence in her backyard to let the dogs out, as she is unable to walk far without support. She may also need help training and/or integrating the dogs with her cat, Tabitha. Anyone contributions to this are greatly needed as well!
Luke has about 3 weeks of school left at Providence Christian Academy. This school is a private school that helps him with his learning challenges. Without the assistance from KC, Kathleen is not able to afford tuition – and next year is a complete question mark.
