Share a Memory

We cannot express enough how much your donations, prayers, support, and well wishes meant to Gracie and to our entire family. We were all blown away by the love and generosity we received.

Donations will still be used in the spirit in which you gave them. We will use the funds to cover Gracie’s outstanding bills, funeral expenses, and travel for family members to attend the funeral. Whatever is left will then be donated to another patient in need of a transplant, paying your generosity forward.

Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.

Gracie is our beautiful, vibrant 25-year-old daughter, sister, niece, and granddaughter who is now fighting for her life due to a rare and devastating liver condition. Despite multiple ER visits over the past few years, her symptoms were tragically misdiagnosed—no one imagined that someone so young could be suffering from liver failure. But in late September 2025, Gracie became critically ill again, and this time, doctors discovered the truth: her liver was rapidly failing, and she would need a transplant to survive.

The news shattered our family. We rallied around Gracie, determined to get her on the transplant list and give her a fighting chance. But just three weeks later, we received a heartbreaking call—Gracie’s doctors didn’t expect her to survive the night. Family members rushed from across the country to say goodbye.

In a last-ditch effort, doctors performed an emergency procedure. Incredibly, Gracie pulled through. She woke up the next morning and saw the faces of her loved ones. We were overwhelmed with gratitude and hope.

But her battle was far from over. Just two weeks later, Gracie was in a coma and placed on a ventilator. For five agonizing days, we feared we’d never see her smile or beautiful brown eyes again. Then, on the sixth day, Gracie opened her eyes. Slowly and gradually, she began responding to commands, breathing on her own, and speaking. She told us she wants to fight—with everything she has—to live.

Gracie’s liver has now completely stopped functioning, and she is in Stage 4 renal failure. She needs to be transferred to a transplant center as soon as possible before she suffers another infection or setback. But there’s a catch: she must raise enough funds to cover critical medical expenses, ambulance transport, and a down payment for the transplant itself. Her total expenses are expected to exceed $250,000. She’s unable to work, and while Medicaid has been applied for, approval could take up to 90 days—time Gracie simply doesn’t have.

We are humbly asking for your help. Every donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward saving Gracie’s life. Funds will be used for:

– Medical expenses related to her treatment and the transplant

– Emergency ambulance transfer

– Temporary housing near the transplant center

All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and you will receive a letter of acknowledgment for your records. Your support, prayers, and kind words mean the world to us.

Despite doctors counting her out twice, Gracie is a fighter! With your help, she can win this battle and live the life she so desperately wants. Thank you for standing with her.

UPDATE:

🩷💚 Gracie is Defying Gravity! 💚🩷

Our large, supportive family is beyond grateful and humbled by the incredible outpouring of love and support for Gracie. Every prayer, kind word, donation, and hug has filled our hearts to overflowing.

As a symptom of her liver condition, Gracie developed 7-8 bleeding ulcers in her esophagus. It is a painful and life-threatening side effect. To treat this medical emergency, doctors placed a “Minnesota Tube” where 3 balloons were inflated in her upper GI tract to put pressure on the bleeds, hopefully giving Gracie’s body some extra time to produce clotting factors to slow or stop the bleeding. Today, the Minnesota Tube was removed with no signs of continued bleeding!

Gracie is stable and resting peacefully. She’s on dialysis to give her kidneys a break, and while the road ahead is tough, she’s surprising us every single day. There are highs and lows, but one thing is certain—she’s a fighter!

Keep lifting her up with your words of  encouragement—every message helps her soar! And if you are inclined to do so, please share her full story and donation campaign to get Gracie the liver transplant she so desperately needs.

Minnesota procedure” in medicine refers to the placement of a Minnesota tube, a medical device used to stop esophageal bleeding, particularly from ruptured varices.
