Hello Friends, Family, and Haters turned Fans –
My Mom, Caroline, was diagnosed with aggressive, bilateral breast cancer this year. With the help of a couple good friends, who knew this would be a tough/long road, they wrote up a funding campaign for the treatment costs. I asked to review it and help out as I knew my Mom wouldn’t actually pull the trigger on setting it up. (ego, pride, shame?)
You may or may not know Caroline. She’s the woman who worked 2-3 jobs since 15 and started a business at 22, working 60 hour weeks while raising four kids. All while still being there for family and friends. She has faced many challenges in life head on, this possibly being the toughest yet.
She’s also the one who forgot her purse and phone at the bar, but remembered to pick up the tab and get the group photo taken. She’s the one who is there for you day or night when you needed childcare, even though they may be returned covered in sand, paint, or a couple extra bumps/bruises. She’s the one who asked you to donate stuff to her garage sale, and then managed to sell it back to you.
In all seriousness, you and her have most likely crossed paths in life, and I’m sure she’s left an impact on you – and left you with a story to tell. Now it’s our turn to help the woman who’s been there for us.
She did a deep dive into reading, watching, learning everything possible about Cancer and the standard protocol of Surgery, Radiation, Chemo. Plus, met with a dozen doctors & specialists, but as usual, she decided to take the path less traveled and opted for alternative treatment methods to fight the cancer. The short list includes; HyperBarics Oxygen Camber & Intravenous Vitamin C multiple times a week. Plus, Lymphatic Drainage, Organic Nutrition (no sugar/carbs), Acupuncture, dozens of supplements (many unheard of), Red Light Therapy and other Holistic Treatment Options.
She is keeping a journal to be able to share the information with others.
Unfortunately, this road is expensive, isn’t easy and not covered by insurance/Medicare.
