Dear Friends and Family,
We need your help! This amazing, independent, tenacious woman, Jammie Knight who has given up so much for so many people in the community here in Lynchburg and in Florida as well, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic ER Positive Cancer that has traveled from her breasts to her lymph nodes and bones. PUT ON THOSE BOXING GLOVES WITH US AND HELP JAMMIE KICK CANCER TO THE CURB!
Jammie is originally from Florida and traveled up here to Lynchburg, VA with her 2 beautiful kids a few years back to get a fresh start and beat this cancer she was diagnosed with. Jammie was originally diagnosed on Thanksgiving of 2017 and successfully completed her treatment – which consisted of several surgeries, chemo, and radiation – in the middle of 2019. She was hospitalized 5 different times during the chemo treatment. Jammie went into remission in 2022.
Jammie has been a true warrior during this time. Her daughters father passed away in 2009 and she has been single and supporting the kids herself ever since. Through all her challenges and struggles she has taken the time to be there for her family and so many countless others in the community. Jammie does not know what giving up means.
On April 20, 2023, she lost her mom, aunt, and uncle all in one car accident showing her life if so fragile and that no matter what giving up is not an option. She knows what it feels like to lose the woman who has loved, supported, and cared for Jammie and doesn’t want her kids to go through that at such a young age.
At the beginning of October, remission went flying out the window when Jammie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic ER Positive Cancer that had traveled from her breasts to her lymph nodes and bones. She will be going through extensive treatment to help beat this, but as we all know this is not an inexpensive journey, so I want to ban together with everyone reading this to help Jammie get through this extremely challenging time for her and her kids. No amount is too small. This will help Jammie with medical bills, food, necessities, and anything else that she may need to help through this time.
