We recently discovered a possible treatment in the US called Proton Therapy. We are hoping I am a candidate for it. It would target the tumor itself without causing damage to nearby sensitive areas. Hello, my name is Stacey Jardine. I live in the outskirts of Salt Lake City, Utah. I have always been one to not back down from a project or say no to a challenge. I am a hard worker and professional in my trade which is Interior Architectural Design.
I recently married the love of my life in September 2024. After returning home from our honeymoon, I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the upper hard palate in October 2024. I have been fighting this disease using integrative medicine and alternative therapy including repurposed drugs. The standard care of cancer in the US is to cut the cancer out which would mean a full facial and oral reconstruction surgery. The surgery would entail removal of a leg bone to graft, extensive skin grafts and oral implants. The surgery would leave me having to rehabilitate mobility, ability to eat and speak as well as breathe. I don’t currently have insurance. This surgery is massive and invasive and barbaric. The recent MRI scan showed significant growth and possible metastasis to my lymph nodes. We have found an alternative to the standard treatments that are based on immunotherapy where they will be able to inject the tumor directly. They only do this outside of the US.
I will do anything to get well so I can focus my true passion on helping others. During the last year, I have focused inward. Becoming closer to my family, God and my Angels, including my recently passed on Mother who is now in Heaven. I have learned so much about my body and how it can heal and how much emotions such as Grief can play a part and actually hinder healing. I have learned to let go of the past. I vow to teach others once I am able to be fully healed how to let go of grief, how to heal, and how to create balance in their lives.
The procedure we are looking into is very expensive and would entail time off from work as well as relocation to another country for a short time during the treatment period. We are looking for any help to fund this treatment program.
