My brother , Anthony Jones who lives with me has been Diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. He has been given 1 year to live, 2 at the most. He is presently receiving chemotherapy. Because of the diagnosis he has had to leave his job. When he was working, he had life insurance through his job. Once he left his job, he lost the life insurance. I have tried to find other life insurance for him, but have been rejected by most due to the cancer. Those that were willing in spite of the cancer diagnosis, the monthly payment was so high we could not afford it. We would not have the money to save up the money needed for life insurance ourselves. So, we are trying to raise funds to help set aside money to pay for funeral expenses if and when we need them. We are still trusting God for a miracle and for long life, but of course we do not know what will happen. Also, due to his illness and being unable to work, he only has his social security disability which isn’t much. And I am 73 years old, therefore I am retired and living on a fixed income. Because of this we are struggling financially and also need help to pay bills and to keep a roof over our head. We really need help to take care of these things. Anyone who has had a loved one or had cancer or any type of illness, knows the worry and stress of dealing with any illness and the uncertainty that goes with it. If you add financial problems to the struggle, it makes life harder to endure. We would rather just have to concentrate on his health and doing all we can to help him stay in the fight and pray fully beat cancer.
