I am writing with humility and urgency to request support for my family’s most basic needs: food, clothing, shelter, utilities, and medical care.
For the past two years, I have carried the responsibility of caring for four generations of my family. I stepped away from my career to support my father through cancer treatment, while also caring for my two parents with disabilities, my 90 year old grandfather, and my son, who is on the autism spectrum. Along the way, I faced my own surgery and recovery, which extended my time away from work.
Despite my education, professional experience, and determination, I am now unemployed and have exhausted my savings, my debt has maxed out, and I’m facing the reality of not being able to cover rent, utilities, and basic household expenses or the out of pocket costs for medications and medical care that my household depends on.
This request is not about extras — it is about survival. Your support will directly provide:
• Food and clothing for my family
• Shelter and utilities to keep us safe and stable
• Medical expenses and medications that are essential for daily health
• Caregiving support and autism programs that my son relies on for growth and stability
I have always been the one helping others, but today I must ask for help. This season is temporary, and I am actively applying and interviewing for stable work. With your assistance, I can keep my family secure while I continue this transition and prepare to rebuild.
