Subject: Please Take a Moment — Help Melissa Be That Voice for Survivors

Hi,

We’ve never met, but I’m reaching out because this is something truly personal to me. I know life gets busy, but if you could give me just a minute of your time, I’d really appreciate it.

Melissa is one of my closest friends — someone I’ve always known as strong, kind, and brave. Right now, she’s facing something that no one should ever have to endure. She’s fighting for justice after surviving a violent and traumatic experience, one that has left lasting emotional and financial challenges.

What makes this even bigger than just Melissa’s story is that she’s standing up for countless others who have been silenced, dismissed, or overlooked. Her fight isn’t just for herself. It’s for every survivor who didn’t get the chance to speak out.

Your support hel

ps cover her legal expenses and the costs tied to holding the right people accountable. Every single share matters. Even if you can’t donate, forwarding this link or posting it once on social media can reach someone who can.

Truly — one share is your way of standing beside her. One share is a voice for the silenced.

Thank you so much for listening. Your kindness means more than I can say.

With gratitude,
Sarah

Melissa’s Story

Melissa is a mother of four, wife of 18 years to Cody, and a Las Vegas native with 17 years of experience in the legal field. Her life changed forever when she was violently attacked in a major airport parking garage while working out of state.

Just before Christmas, Melissa was left in a coma for four days. She woke up on Christmas Eve, intubated and terrified, with a dog show playing on the hospital TV—a tradition she shared with her late mother and now carries on with her own family. Instead of comfort, there was only fear. She didn’t know if she’d ever see her husband or children again.

The man responsible had been out on a $150,000 bond, wearing a tether meant to monitor him, yet he still attacked Melissa and another woman days apart. He has since been charged and imprisoned. But serious questions remain: how many others were hurt while he was free?

Melissa’s fight isn’t about personal compensation. It’s about accountability and awareness—making sure no other woman, man, or family endures what she has. She feels it’s her responsibility to speak up for the next person who may not have survived, or who may still be silenced by fear.

Funds will directly go to:

  • Covering Melissa’s legal expenses as she pursues justice and accountability

  • Supporting travel costs for court appearances, especially important since she lives out of state from where she was attacked

  • Helping rebuild stability for Melissa and her family during this difficult recovery period

Melissa isn’t someone who easily asks for help. But now, it’s her turn. Please consider donating or sharing her story.

With your help, Melissa doesn’t have to face this fight alone. If you’re not in a position to give at this time, please share her story with someone who might be.

One share makes a difference. Sharing is your way of standing with her — your contribution to her fight for justice.
