EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER FOR LANE CHAPEL CME CHURCH

3304 Fontaine Avenue

Jackson, MS 3906

Dear Fellow Servants of Our Lord Jesus Christ,

We want to thank those who have faith and belief that we shall overcome all things even through trial and tribulations.  We are reaching out to those who understand the long journey of services we have willingly provided for His name’s sake.  Today brothers and sisters a natural disaster has damaged the House of the Lord.  Yes, we are insured.  But as you know through personal experiences that coverage is never total and complete.  It seems to never be enough no matter how much you pay.  Our homeless food services, indoor worship, senior activities, and recovery programs have come to a halt.  This hinders our ability to service those who really need help when food stamps won’t cover the rise of inflation.  They are expecting us to be there for them.   The expensive cost of materials and goods has put a strain on our ability to start to finish this project as soon as possible.  As we speak right now, we are again under tornado storms coming from Texas.  Please assist us.  We stand at the gateway of making a difference in this community.  More and more people are seeking jobs, training, and education.   Crime in this area has lessened, children are becoming more productive and our seniors are bringing their whole families back into worship at our local church.

Below I have provided you with pictures of some of the damages, so you may see the effect of the crisis.  It will cost $27,645.07 to repair the ceiling damages affected by the storm. The extra monies will go towards “unforeseen” damages.  It’s very important to maintain a safe environment for all.   If you cannot send a financial donation, we will accept building materials. Your donations will help restore our church and our community functions.  Additionally, your donations are tax deductible – we are a faith-based church.  In the memo box on your check, please document “building fund.”  If you decide to donate online, those provisions will be paid directly to the contractor to replace the ceiling of the church.

Thank you so much for your blessings.
