Since I’ve been on Medicare I have gotten great dental care but still more needs to be done. In particular crowns. My dentist wants to do many but my insurance will only allow one a year and will not pay for the buildup for the crown. The buildup is when the doctor goes into your mouth and sees some problems where he is going to put the crown and needs to buildup the tooth on which the crown will rest. For this crown on the tooth he has chosen the buildup goes at $230. I am asking for $250 because I do not know if any fees need to be paid at this fundraising site.
I changed insurance companies over dental care. I was with WellCare and changed to Humana but while Humana’s representative told me all dental would be paid, I find I still have out of pocket expenses. Previously my dentist had said buildup for a crown was $427 but maybe that was another tooth. I was making some money then that I thought would help me but learned that when I reported the income to social security, I am on supplemental security, they only allow $65 and then take half of everything I make over that. So, having reported a year’s income they are taking $25 a moth from m $914 monthly deposit. They will do that for quite a while. I should not have reported my income, really. If you could help I would be eternally grateful.
