My husband Danny (70 yrs old) was diagnosed with Colon Cancer 3 months ago. He is now taking Chemo treatments and will have Surgery towards the end of Sept. (if the Lord doesn’t completely remove it which I’m believing he will). Our only son was murdered 1 yr ago. We are still struggling with his senseless death. Murdered by a jealous girlfriend. We have always raised grandchildren (parents chose drugs over children) and 2 still live with us. My husband has a very small SS check as he was blind from the time he was 33 yrs old from a rare eye disease. That has cleared up till he can now see better. I work but its a struggle to make ends meet. I try to work at least 45 hrs per week just so I can pay bills. I can’t even retire because I can’t pay the bills now if I did. The medication co pay is ridiculous as well. He only has Medicare and the plan we have has a large deductible. He has never been sick in his life until now. We live in a very small rural area with the closest town being 25 miles one way. We have to travel 300 to 400 miles each time we have to go to the Dr which currently is every 2 weeks. When we go, I can’t work so my income is down, the gas is ridiculous and bills are piling up. I’ve spent $90 so far this week in gas.  I would like to have money for gas, food and pay some of our bills.  We are now having to purchase Ensure, juices, and different foods that he has to have. His nausea medicine alone is $80 for a 30 day supply. These are things we never had to buy but do now. Having to drive 400 miles to Houston 3 to 4 times a month takes a toll on a vehicle.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am actually on the Board of Directors for a small 501c3 organization, but we are very small and our funds are designed to help children.
