Week 3 Update
Cara is currently getting her third treatment. Her “bad” days are showing to be Thursday and Friday after her Tuesday treatments.
We are halfway through chemo before her radiation/chemo begins. One day at a time.
Monday she was “fitted” for her radiation through CT scans and tattooing of sorts for markers during radiation.
Everyone has been so amazing through her treatment in helping her and her family. We all appreciate your support and prayers.
Thank you,
Cara’s Family
Week 2 Update
Cara has received her second round of treatment. Next week she has quite a few appointments, including an audiology appointment because hearing can be affected by the chemo drugs she is taking.
On Monday, April 14 Cara had surgery to have a port inserted for her chemo treatment. This was something she originally didn’t want, but after being poked and prodded decided she wanted to do the port since her sensitivity to needles. We don’t need her passing out.
Cara has received almost all of her Amazon list. We thank each and everyone that donated.
She has appointments stacked for weeks that aren’t just chemo, so please continue to pray for her, as some of them are early. We all know how Cara loves early morning anything and everything….LOL.
Thank you for your love and support!

Week 1 Update
Cara has received her first round of chemo on Monday, April 7. She slept through the whole treatment due to some helpful drugs. She started feeling nauseous today, so she took some medicine to ease that today.
She had a radiation consult following her chemo treatment. She will have 25 sessions of radiation (20 external and 5 internal). She will receive radiation five days a week with one day of chemo with radiation.
She will potentially receive a port on Monday to help alleviate some anxiousness with the treatment.
As of today, Cara is feeling pretty good. She is thankful for all the support, donations, gifts, and prayer she has received. Please continue to pray for her and her family as she goes through this treatment.
I will try my best to update weekly.
Family, Friends, & Potential Donors,
As most of you know, Cara found out earlier this year she has cervical cancer. This week (3/18/25) she found out she will not be able to have a hysterectomy due to the stage of cancer she has (2B). The cancer has spread into her parametrial tissue, and the doctors do not want to risk leaving any cancerous cells behind. Cara will be undergoing Interlacing Treatment with six weeks of chemotherapy followed by five weeks of radiation with chemotherapy. These treatments will hopefully begin the week of April 7.
Cara will receive her treatments at Stephenson Cancer Center at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Christopher will be in Midland, TX to continue working while Cara stays with her brother in Oklahoma.
Cara and Christopher have been married for eight years, and they have two beautiful children (Tobias-7 and Maddox-3). Cara will turn 31 in May, so this is such a huge shock to everyone, but we all know she has the strength, and stubbornness, to pull through this on the other side.
We are trying to raise funds to help alleviate cost of her medical expenses as she navigates her chemo treatment for cervical cancer. The average cost for treatment for cervical cancer is $60,000, but there additional expenses that could be incurred throughout treatment that are unexpected, much like cancer is unexpected.
Any amount you give is greatly appreciated and goes directly to Cara and Christopher to help reduce the cost of medical expenses.
Thank you greatly,
Cara’s Family
