Darrell Walker has always been the man willing to help his neighbors, friends, family, and complete strangers. It’s now our turn to help him in his time of desperate need and fearless fight against cancer.
Darrell was diagnosed with rectal cancer in December of 2022. Due to the large nature of the tumor, surgery was out of the question. A surgeon encouraged him to pursue chemotherapy and radiation treatment, but a radiation oncologist warned that the amount of treatment needed would be incredibly difficult to tolerate, erasing his quality of life. The doctor’s honesty about these circumstances led Darrell to a holistic approach of treatment at The EuroMed Foundation in Phoenix, Arizona. This approach requires various therapies that build up the immune system while killing the cancerous cells.
Darrell has been undergoing treatment for 5 months now and has been hopeful to finally go home to his beloved state of Wyoming and see his family and friends. The harsh news that he needs to continue his treatments in Phoenix has been heartbreaking. His tumor hasn’t shrunk in size as hoped and prayed for. As difficult as this news was to hear, it brought about an even greater financial concern.
Darrell has emptied all of his savings to afford his cancer treatments. He still has the fight in him to kick this cancer, but he desperately needs financial support. From dedicating his life to helping others to being the one in need of help is not a position he ever expected to be in, but he has run out of options.
