My Husband Wesley is a Marine Veteran of the Gulf War. A father of four, a grandfather of nine, and my soul mate.  I can’t imagine our life without him in it. The devastating news of Cancer has hit him three times in the past two years. My husband had a sore throat around Christmas time, it wasn’t getting better so he went to an ear nose and throat specialist, they did a CT/Pet scan and then a biopsy. Wesley found out” he had laryngeal cancer (voice box) in February 2021.  The news was scary to hear the doctors say radiation should take care of it. He had to take off of work Because he is an over-the-road truck driver and radiation and healing time would take around three in a half months. treatment wasn’t past 12 months so he couldn’t collect SSI. I haven’t worked since I had my last child, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. I had to get a job to help where I can while he was getting treatment because what was in savings, I knew would go fast with mortgage and all of our other bills, the pay scale here in Floride is very low… compared to up north I’m just making a little over minimum wage. anyways… Wesley did well with radiation and went back on the road at the beginning of June but by the end of July his throat was hurting again this time on the opposite side. back to the doctors again, they said the soreness was from radiation side effects, and he should heal soon, well this went on until September when they decided to do another scan that led to another biopsy. the biopsy came back negative, so we were told it taking longer to heal because of radiation. but nothing got better it got worse he lost over 100lbs because he couldn’t eat and every time, they scoop him at the doctors they still didn’t see anything. Finally, I had enough! So, I made him an appointment at Moffit cancer center. Wesley went there March 3rd at the end of the week he was getting a biopsy they found cancer was back on the voice box and it would have to be removed, we were devastated to find out my husband would have to lose his voice, so on the 30th of March, he had his operation. a total laryngectomy. But, the cancer would be gone, and we would still have him and that was the most important. still no Finacial help but we did it again, but this time we had to do a refinance on our home to get cash in the bank to cover bills. it was a long recovery because of two infections because of radiated tissue. once again, he finally went back to work but no sooner he went back he started feeling sore again, back and forth to Moffit which is a little over an hour from where we live, two months later BAD NEWs AGAIN!  this time Cancer is back in three areas the base of tongue, a lymph node and the right lung. they said he has a 30 percent chance of beating this. we are so shattered. I know God has us and I believe he will see us through this, but the thought of losing him is killing me inside. But I have to be strong for him, I can’t let him see me worried, this man has served our country raised our children took care of us all and then some. I need Finacial help in taking care of our house bills so he can worry about beating this devil called cancer we need financial help… my husband is a very proud Marine and would be embarrassed of me doing this, but there is nothing else I can do, at this point we will lose our home if we can’t get help! I ask if you are reading this, please donate to our campaign all donations will be greatly appreciated.  and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts
