For the last six years, I’ve lived in the miracle of being cancer-free. It’s a gift I’ve never taken for granted and one I’ve held with deep gratitude every single day.
Three weeks ago, during my annual oncology appointment, the conversation took an unexpected turn. Instead of celebrating another clear report, we were discussing a hernia repair and the removal of a small mass that was likely cancerous. A week later, we received the news no one wants to hear: the cancer is back.
Now I find myself stepping into round two. The road ahead includes surgery recovery, multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and all the challenges that come with treatment. While there are moments of uncertainty and fear, there is also hope.
What I know for certain is that God has been faithful before, and He will continue to be faithful. I believe healing is possible. I believe Jesus is still working miracles. And I know I am surrounded by an incredible community of family, friends, and supporters who will walk alongside us every step of the way.
