Cynthia Scoggins is an amazing woman. She has blessed her friends and those around her with her tireless work ethic and endless generosity. A mother, daughter, best friend, and confidante to many. Cynthia has suffered from Chronic Iron Deficiency Anemia, an ailment that renders her body incapable of absorbing iron. This results in the reduction of hemoglobin, the agent that carries oxygen throughout the body. Without proper levels of oxygen, organs in the body cannot function properly. In Cynthia’s case, this will manifest as shortness of breath, fatigue and yes, several episodes of extreme shallow breathing.
Cynthia Scoggins requires a blood infusion treatment known as an Iron Dextran Infusion. These infusion sessions are required in specific time blocks and are very expensive. Due to changes in Health Care plans as a result of having to work as a consultant/contractor, Cynthia no longer carries the insurance she would need to make these treatments a viable solution.
