Emilio and Elisa Rodriguez have been hit with some recent compounding challenges. In the quest for a better financial situation for their family, Emilio quit his steady managerial job at Staples for a better opportunity selling Traeger smokers with Costco. Just a few months into this new endeavor, the company canceled the program and left Emilio without a job. In the midst of looking for work, getting odd jobs to make ends meet, Emilio was hit with an unexpected bout of appendicitis. After being sent home, he had a few complications arise. There were lung clots and what was thought to be an abscess around the original surgical site that had to have exploratory surgery. Thankfully, after many prayers, the second surgery revealed only a hematoma, which was cultured to confirm no infection or other complications. He is home and on his journey to recover from all this. Any funds collected would be an answer to prayer and an attempt to relieve the financial burden that this unexpected medical event has caused on top of the already stressful situation of being unemployed. Our desire is to allow the family to completely focus on recovering strong and returning to the job search. We are so overwhelmed by your generosity – We are more than halfway to our goal!
