My cousin Arlene has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Arlene was raised around horses and spent much of her childhood riding and caring for them. This love of horses has lasted a lifetime and finally her determination and dedication to owning horses has begun to pay off. By working full time with disabled adults and staying focused she was eventually able to purchase a small parcel of land where she and her partner live in an RV. The land required a lot of work before they could bring in their horse. They had to clear it, clean up waste that people had dumped there, build fences, bring in electricity, purchase an RV, and so on. This was the first step toward realizing her life-long dream of owning multiple horses and over time they were able to purchase 2 additional horses. Arlene and her partner currently own three horses, 2 cats, and a new puppy. Unfortunately, Arlene’s health has been failing over the past year and she eventually received the cancer diagnosis. Per her Doctors orders, she and her partner are now required to rehome their animals and find more suitable housing. They have temporarily placed all of their beloved horses, cats, and a puppy in foster care and are currently looking for affordable housing while Arlene undergoes chemotherapy and explores naturopathic remedies. We’re asking for funding to help with living expenses which will allow Arlene to focus on her cancer journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all that are able to donate, and please send well wishes and positive energy.
