Please help us get Vicky a car so she can work hard for her money for her baby – set up the basic needs and build a life.
Vicky & I met two years ago, our lives intersecting at a campground in South Carolina. I saw tenacity and drive in her. Vicky has a high sense of responsbility. We dragged tree trunk sections together, connected on deep conversation, and began a friendship we never knew would last after that week.
Vicky writes:
“The family of 2 will become a family of 3 in April. It was just my dog and I for a few years, but now there is a baby on the way. The baby’s dad is not in the picture, no family to turn to, and few friends that struggle to help us. We are reaching out for more help. My dog and I were homeless on a bicycle barely making ends meet. I do not want that life for the baby. In order to do that I need a vehicle, car seat, stroller, diaper bag, clothes, and the rest we can get along the way. I have a plan tbut I need your help to start this plan and help give this baby a better life.

Over the past two years, we’ve continued to message about life, offer encouragement, give thoughts and advice, etc. Vicky’s tenacity made it possible for her to earn enough funds for an electric bike, which has since broken down from intense use. Vicky rode that bike, hauling her dog, Nova, through the Carolina’s and made it to Florida. Spent some time there, and made her way back to South Carolina.
Vicky is determined. Unfortunately, as circumstances have it, she is now pregnant (confirmed medically). She has obtained EBT and is working toward WIC. She is determined to provide the best life she is able for her baby; however, she needs community assistance. Vicky has overcome a ton, but does not have systems and structure in place to have regular income right now.
Vicky has worked DoorDash in her area before and knows she’d be able to bring in funds again IF she can GET A CAR.
