It is with a heavy heart that I create this campaign. For the past 3 years my life has been one major blow after another, but I’ve been able to keep afloat for the most part. This past year has been one of the worst years. From losing my car, to getting a car that’s really limited my mobility, medical ups and downs, and so much more that I’ve dealt with the best that I could. About a month ago, my mom who’s in her late 70s has been in and out of the hospital. It got really bad for a while and she’s still not out of the woods yet. My family and I don’t get along much, but I need to see my mom. She’s all I have left parent wise. My partner and I were planning to go visit family, but we got hit with some finance downs again. And right when I felt like we had a win, I lost my job.
My partner has been job hunting for months , but no place will hire him. We don’t know what to do. My family wont help me. We don’t have any savings. We don’t have money to pay rent, to get food, or to pay bills. We may need to cancel Wasteland this year because of how bad off we are. We could really use some help. Anything could help. We really need a win right now. Wasteland was a way for us to see our community again, and I pray I get a job before we go to Wasteland. But right now I really need to find a way to see my sick mom and keep afloat.
