Hello, family and friends!
I wanted to share some important news about my health. Recently, I was diagnosed with a vasculitis known as granulomatosis with polyangiitis, an autoimmune disease. It means my immune system is causing inflammation in my blood vessels, which are affecting my organs, specifically my lungs and ears.
This all began in March 2026, when I had a sore in my gums. I didn’t think much of it. In April, I developed an ear infection. Symptoms continued to build during the next few months: double ear infection, extreme fatigue, coughing, wheezing, near total hearing loss, and an inability to care for myself. Finally, after a routine scan, we discovered that there were nodules on my lungs and possible pneumonia. I ended up going to the ER. After a week in the hospital, I finally had a diagnosis and treatment plan.
There is no cure for this disease, but there is a treatment. This condition requires a lot of care, including ongoing infusions and regular medical check-ups, which will be critical for the next couple of years. It’s quite a journey, and your support means the world to me.
